Most of love it when we are hailed by our nick names. Same is applicable to sport stars and others, but seems that of sport is weird and also funny beyond expectations. Made mention of the famous football player "Rice" always make me have the feeling of "what won't we hear in this world 😁😁"

First of, Rice is not a nickname - that's his surname.


Secondly, we've had worse names in football before. At least, we still have Stones at Man City, Woods is playing in the Championship. Fish used to play for South Africa. So, imagine having Rice and Fish playing for the same team and partnering in defence or midfield. The commentators for whichever game they play together will have a field day poking fun at them.

And if you're in a good mood, you might as well try to pronounce "Błaszczykowski". Dude used to play for Dortmund. I hope you'll really give this a try.😂
