Which one do you use? The recent activity or the what's new option.
I have to say what's new is always better to keep track on the latest threads and replies on the forum. Recent activity shows too much info like liking contents, status updates which imo less people care about!
What are your thoughts on this?

I've always used What's new. As that shows new posts, topics, ect. As Recent Activity only provides the newest Topics which you may have already visited.

The status updates are the ones which makes me not a user of recent activity. Reading the status messages of all the people is not something I am looking forward when I am on a forum! :p
