Getting downgraded at a workplace could be heartbreaking. Just imagine working harder and harder just to get downgraded! There are many things that a person may need to consider. You must analyse and determine your performance in the first place. You have to assess your performance because this may help you get a better idea when it comes to speaking to your boss. if you have been performing well and if you know this, then you must speak to your boss. So, what would you do under such circumstances?

This has never happened to me, however, if this ever happens, I will surely give up the job. I can live in financial scarcity but I cannot survive by hurting my self-esteem. Money is important but what's more important is your morale. You can earn money but once your morale is downsized, you might be useless for a lot of things.
 
If the reason why you were downgraded at your workplace is as a result of what you did by not living up to the expectation that you are supposed to, then I believe that you don't have any other person to blame but yourself and work hard to get promoted back to you position.

Well, if I were to be offered a really high position that I could not handle, then I would give up that position myself. I am a sort of person who does not accept job positions that would stress me out, even if i were being paid a huge amount of salary for that.

I am always going to be willing to learn on a new position that I am being appointed to and I am going to stress it to the management that this is a new challenge for me so that they know I'm going to need all the assistance that I would get in order for me to master the position very well and do it exceptionally.

Well, I think that there are many people who opt to choose a job offer. However, later on they may regret accepting the offer in the first place. This leads them to quite and resign from their positions. This is why it is very important to analyse the difficulty of the challenge involved with working. Otherwise, you may regret it.

I can equally understand the reason why some people will choose not to accept that kind of promotion because they know that there is no possibility for them to be able to deliver being in that position which is only going to make a mockery of themselves should I end up accepting it.

This is the exact mentality most people need to have when it comes to how they face whatever circumstances that come up at their workplace because in a situation whereby you were demoted from your position at your workplace, it means that you were not contributing effectively.
