My first video console was the Sega Genesis, which I inherited from my older brother, or rather I played with him, then I had the PSone and the Game Boy Color, I will never forget these first consoles, very good memories and many hours of non-stop play with them.

When I was a child I used handheld consoles. These were simple devices where we could play only a few games mostly brick layering games. The first proper console I used was PS4. I used it for a couple of years and sold it to fund a gaming laptop. However, when the game I wanted to play was exclusively available on PlayStation, I had to buy PS5.

Showing my age here, but my first game console was
a Magnavox Odyssey2. Released in 1978 which seems to
track because I would have been 10yrs old.

It was released in 1979 as a direct competitor to the Atari 2600. Intellivision was the first 16-bit video gaming system (even the 1985 Nintendo was only 8-bit). Here are some more fun facts....
