Currently, my forum receives about 50-100 visits a month or more from Reddit, 200-400 visits a month from tumblr and 100-200 visits a month from X/twitter.

Some of my users have been promoting my forum on reddit and twitter along with myself included, so I’m grateful that I’m receiving extra promotion on social media sites. Tumblr has brought in a few users over the past couple of months just like reddit has.

What about you? What social media sites bring in the most traffic to your forum? Do you promote your forum often on social media?

For me, Reddit (if you call them social media) is by far the top one.
For FB, Twitterpotter, InstaPot and such, I don't really do much pushing of my sites on them.
I do have a YouTube channel set up, but still have to get adequate equipment to create video content with. Have a camera that is perfect for it, but need to get a really decent tripod, microphone and then editing software that I would need to learn.

I have had a lot of traffic to my site from the X app. It is basically because my website also relates to politics and gossip. So, with the American elections being close by, it was really a good period to have more discussions centre around it.

With Trump being back on X/Twitter app after his ban as the new owner of X/Twitter Elon Musk made it easy, it has given room for Trump to use the social media site the same way he was using it before. Although, I think he's more on the Truth App right now.

I have been trying to get into using Quora but it's not going as planned but I'm having a serious breakthrough with using Reddit which I consider to be bigger than Quora. It's why I don't bother too much about it.
reddit bans a lot, and I don't know why! Maybe, like, if you mention your site ... Anyway, they banned me, I don't use it anymore. But reddit's pumped accts are often taken, I guess for that!

Yeah, that's very correct. I have a friend who's always at their ban end no matter how cool he tries to play it on the platform. Although, he usually doesn't get permission to make his advert posts which likely goes against the sub's TOS.

I have never seen a platform that is as strict as they are. They can bam accounts for the smallest reasons and it is not becoming easy for users who would want to run ads on it at the moment.

Fair to them, I think they have everything in their TOS. It's just so unfortunate most people hardly read. I'm going to be honest, I never read 5% of it, so that tells you users tend to breach their rules out of ignorance. Also, some subreddits always warm before they ban accounts.
