I am running multiple businesses, most of my businesses are on related niches, therefore, I am able to run multiple businesses. Based on my experience the most important skill you need for managing multiple business is time management skills. You also need the ability to multi tasking. If you can put your business on autopilot or if your businesses do not a lot of time to run, you can easily manage multiple businesses.
