What is your go to domain extension when starting your startups/projects?

My go to domain extension is .com however I love .us cctld and try and find one word or good keyword .us for cheap to start my projects.. If .com or .us wont work depending on what the niche is tech i would do .net but an organization/community i would do .org.

People tend to respect .com more than other extensions. I do like to use .Ng because it's my countries native domain and can be useful for targeting the locals.

Well to me I won't want to jeopardize the awareness or my site when I know that so many people in my country are used to the .com extension for searching

Dot com is the most preferable extension you can ever have for domain names. You can only go for dot net when the dot com extension is no longer available.

I don't own a domain name, however, if I decide to have a domain name, I would choose dot com extension. That's because dot com are easily recognizable and are also cheap.
