I am taking backups each week atleast once. But I am not a pro on forums, so I would like suggestions from other people here! I mean on forums, everyday lots of contents are getting added and even if its one day, you will loose an immense amount of data.

What do you think, is once or twice per week is enough or do I have to take backups more often.
How do you do it?

I tend to do it everytime I log onto the FTP for us which isn't often but considering how we're going and the average per day, I would increase it to several times a week. Maybe on a Tuesday , a Friday and a sunday night so you keep the majority during the rush hours but I'm dumb, so I'd just take them whenever I felt like it.

To me, a back-up is the DB unless I am again, way too tired to understand the simple things people are saying. xD

Ok, the db back up would do. But we are making changes to templates and all those stuffs every now and then, so I am taking cpanel full backups just in case. :)

In XF you can always revert the template anyway if you cock up but I suppose in my case especially xD, it is a good idea if you do such a thing. :p

haha lol.
And I was talking about the scenario where we loose all the website files or mess up the file structure somehow.

I'm glad you guys back up a lot, just keep Haze away from the db and all should go well..
Back at GamesNation I never backed up the forum, I just left it up to the owner Masky.

Hehe, getting people to do your dirty work, I like it!

I say a backup a week should work unless you are doing heavy work on the database.
