How do you ensure that you are fit? Well, I have a simple strategy, avoid high carbohydrate foods, avoid high sugar and salt, eat a lot of vegetables, and drink a lot of water. If you eat right, you will be able to avoid a lot of health complications. I try to combine right food with light impact exercise like jogging.

The best way I know which will keep you fit would be to watch your lifestyle. Know the kind of things you eat, if they are harmful, it's best to quit them. Work out often at home or at the gym.
 
The best way to remain fit is eat anything you want but eat in moderation and also maintain an active lifestyle. Skipping food sometimes, especially, if you have eaten heavy meal previous day, also helps me.
