I have read that website cache is a kind of online data which is stored in order to help users engage online and load the web pages in a faster manner. However, what kind of files or data is cache? Does this has anything to do with storing files on your computer?

The type of files or data stored in the website cache depends on the website’s design and the type of content it contains. For example, a website that contains a lot of images will store image files in the cache, while a website that contains a lot of videos will store video files in the cache. Other types of files that can be stored in the cache include HTML files, CSS style sheets, JavaScript files, cookies & more.
