Upskilling means you improve your existing skills so that you can perform better on the jobs you do. Sometimes it also means learning new or advanced skills to be better at your job. Let's say you are a graphic designer. Normally, you work with others to create ads. But if you learn how to come up with ideas (conceptualize) and write (ad copies), as well as design, you could do all three tasks on your own. This means you are doing the work of three people. When you are able to do this, you could get a promotion. Sometimes, you might need to learn completely different skills to move up and earn more money.
