What is the shortest domain you ever registered?

Normally my domains are long. They are 10 letters or even longer. My domains are long because I try to register keyword-rich domains. However, I also have a short domain, it is a 5 letter domain. The domain is associated with an online magazine. What is the shortest domain you own?

I don't believe I have ever registered a smaller domain. One I registered quite a few years ago was 12 characters long and the more recent one I registered was 16 characters.

I do believe the smaller you can make the domain though the better it is to remember, it's definitely something I consider when purchasing a domain.

It might not be possible to get a short domain with popular extensions like dot com or dot net, however, if you go with relatively new domain extensions, you might be able to get a short domain.

I tend to go onto sites such as Namecheap and put in small names for a domain and see what comes up. A lot of the time, as you said they do seem to be taken if they are the more popular domain extensions but if you don't mind not having a popular domain extension, it could be good to take on one with a new domain extension

Since domain extensions do not have anything to do with SEO, and the domain name is what ultimately matters for search engines, you can use any extension you want if you can find short and interesting domain.
