Since US dollar is the acceptable means of payments in international trade. So whatever that happens to the economy of US would equally affect the value of the dollars in international market. US dollars would still remain viable until another means of payments are used.

Yes, debt is causing a lots of problems for the dollar. However, my own country is also suffering from many debts. This also makes the U.S dollar quite expensive in my country as well. Apart from that, the government has no real policy that would help them to control inflation. This is also a major factor as well.
