What is the Difference between Unlimited and Unmetered?

I have seen many hosting providers offer unlimited bandwidth and hosting and many also offer unmetered bandwidth.

I want to know what exactly is the difference between the two and which one is better?

I thought they were the same but just a different way of saying it. If there is a difference I'd love to know too! Unmetered though sounds like it's unmeasured and unlimited means you can use as much as you want.
