What is the best form of revenge?

There is a popular saying that the best form of revenge is massive success, instead of fighting those that have left you, or being sad over it, you just have to be successful and that's the best revenge.
I used to think these way as well, am pretty sure we all might have experience betrayal in one form or the other. Recently I watched a video which actually got me thinking. A speaker said massive success is not the best revenge but inner peace is the best revenge.
Personally I feel this is true, you being successful should not be tied down to how bad someone made you feel in the past. You should be successful for yourself and no one else. You should be successful because it's your right to be successful as a human not because you want to make someone feel bad or regret leaving you. Your success should be based on your desire to be successful.
If your reason for success is based on revenge or to make someone else regret, it simple means that person still has a hold over your life and in reality that is not true freedom. But once you are at peace with yourself, the choices you make and the things you do would be for yourself and no one else. This I think is true revenge, when the pain no longer phrase you, when the anger no longer controls you, when you can finally live life and be happy without them.

The best form of revenge can include anything which is not physical fight , or mental harassment or anything that is fraud. The best way to take revenge is to show them that what you can do with your talent and they will keep accept that they have made mistake and even can apologize later.

The thought of even getting revenge on someone will always tie you down physically ,mentally and emotionally in life because the thought will always be dragging you backwards, its better to find peace with with yourself and learn to forgive and move on.

Very true, I have had some experience on this, I wanted so bad to make sure I was successful just so my ex would regret but in the end I realized i was in a competition with someone who never cared to be in one in the first place and I was just stressing my self mentally and emotionally, I was still traped by the pain
