What is Profitable? Residential Property or Commercial Property?

I do not have any first hand experience with real estate, if you have invested in real estate market, I would like to know which is profitable, residential properties or commercial properties? Well, based on my observation, I think residential properties are more profitable because they can be easily sold, does not cost a lot of money to maintain and it is easier to find renters because the rent is lower. What do you think?
