What do you think of fishing?

Do you participate in fishing? Would you say fishing is a sport? Occasionally, I'll do some off-shore fishing on sea and freshwater. If you go big game fishing, it requires a lot of muscle to reel in bigger fish like marlin, sharks, and tuna, for example.

I loved to fish when I was a kid. I wish I had more time for it. I own/live in the house where I caught my first fish as a kid. Have a river behind the house.

I personally never attempted to do fishing but I join my friends in get together.

I dislike fishing, it is cruelty towards animal. Eating animals for food and killing animal and see it die just before your eyes is entirely different thing. I have fished when I was a boy, though

Why? Both involve the death of the animal. Just one way is by your hands and the other by someone else. The animal is just as dead.
