What do you think of daily post goals?

Some users often find it annoying but in order to maintain the forum averages, I believe post goals would help, even only a little.
I do try to keep up with the forum average post count often.
So, what do you think about these daily post goals everyone?
Do you find them annoying? If so, do you think they should be removed at all costs?

If not, do you think the users are contributing enough to reach the daily post goal? What about you? Do you post enough to reach the daily post goal?

XenForo actually has a plugin that you can do monthly or daily goals. I think it is a neat plugin and really makes people pay attention about how many posts get posted daily.

Mybb has a daily post goal plugin. I use it quite a bit. There are some tutorials about how to add daily, monthly and weekly posts to the index page. I have tried them and they did work at first but after updating the forum software, they no longer work.
I made sure that all the variables are defined and they are being assigned properly but for some reason, they couldn't fetch the value.

I wish mybb got a plugin that could show monthly posts as well. I would use it without a doubt. Honestly though, I never saw the Xenforo plugin at work. None of the sites, I know use that plugin.

I like the daily post goals. I have seen it on a couple of forums now. I can't remember which forum I saw it on. However, As a member of that forum, I felt if we all worked that day to achieve 200 posts then I would have the feeling of accomplishment.
