What do you think forums will look like in 10 years? 🤔

It's hard to tell really. The internet is constantly changing, AI is pretty predominant now just imagine how it'll be in 10 years. Maybe forums will become the most popular way to have a community because maybe places like Facebook and Discord will implode on themselves and people will start seeing that having their own community makes more sense. After all you can control every aspect of it.

Do you see users turn away from Discord?

I know Facebook has started to peak and become unpopular, but I feel like Discord And Reddit and Telegram and TikTok are still surging in popularity

I think that if the Discord support becomes bad like all of the Meta apps, it's most likely going to turn away their users.

Although, I think forums would still find a way to copy social media sites because that have been successfully for them over the years and remember, they knocked off forums off their perch.

The same categorisation at heart, but more intelligence with presenting information based on personal likes through interactions, what's trending and "AI" summaries of key topics across the forum.

More optimisation of value for minutes while on the forum.

Reddit recently added an answers feature as well, so I think they’ll be surging in popularity for a long time.

Tumblr just introduced a communities feature as well, so that might help boast their social networking site as well.

With Reddit Answers, redditors can ask questions and receive answers using a new, AI-powered conversational interface. Once a question is asked, curated summaries of relevant conversations and details across Reddit will appear, including links to related communities and posts. Redditors can easily read relevant snippets and answers inline from real redditors, jump into the full conversations, and go deeper in their search with their own or suggested follow-up questions

Everyone is copying one another just to tap into what brought success to other brands into their own brand. I know Reddit will hug the use of AI features very well as of late.
