When it comes to an accountant, he might be responsible for many things in the office. he may need to update the accounts of the company and record each and every kind of transactions. So, what are some of the other duties performed by the accountant?

Accountants are required to tally every account and enter every detail in the accounting software which can be telly or Cadpro or any other used by the specific company

They should be able to monitor and take care of every monetary transactions that happens in the company.

Accountants are also required to tally every transaction and get our annual returns filed plus they need to prepare balance sheet at the end of the financial year.

An accountant is the staff that manages the finances of an organization. He advises the organisation on when things are not looking good financially.

Many companies also assign them with work related to the filing Income tax returns or they are working under a chartered account for this

The job of an accountant is very tough in the first place. They have to make sure that they do not make mistakes. In case, if they make mistakes, then it could have an effect on accounts.

They need to cross-check every thing they do because even a small single mistake can cause heavy losses to the business

Accountant's take stock, records and keep track of every business transaction. An accountant is responsible for the day-to-day activities in an organization. He knows the expenses, the income and sales that occurs at any point in time.

They also need to report every ambiguity to the management or to the chartered accountants so that it can be sorted before time

So what is the difference between an accountant and a chartered accountant? I thought they are one and the same thing.

We have google to ask our doubts " echnically, anyone can call themselves an accountant, regardless of what licensing or education they have. A chartered accountant, on the other hand, is someone who retains a membership in either the Institute of Chartered Accountants or the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants."

Another aspect is accountants are paid lesser and they work under a CA

The main duty of an accountant in any business establishment is to analyse and evaluate all the financial dealings and transaction of the business to make sure that all data or information about the business is recorded to know that the company is either progressing in profit or regressing in losses.

An accountant is supposed to do a lot of things, from book keeping to making as budget, dispatching salary to the staff, paying the bills, etc. Being an accountant is highly demanding job, you need a degree in accounting, you also need skills to use accounting software.

I think that sometimes one accountant might not be sufficient when it comes to running a business. This is why you will often find a team of accountants who tend to manage the accounts. This leads to creation of accounting department in a company.
