What Are The Benefits Of RSS Feeds For Your Forum?

So, I see many people talking about these RSS feeds these days. What I know is that most of the blogs use it. I'm not really sure if I can use RSS feeds on my forum. But the big question is, what does it really do? Does it works? I know is easier for people to read through RSS feeds, but does it help my forum when it comes to SEO?

RSS feeds have a lot of uses. For example, if you want to know what are the new topics being created, you can simply add this feed to your bookmark tab and when you click on it, the list of new topic/threads will be shown. Since the loading of RSS feed in the bookmark tab happens in background automatically we don't have to waste time if there are no interesting topics.
