Yes , that is why most of the business we are about to establish we need to understand what the business entails before we commit ourselves. Some business as I have understand are more competitive than others , even wholesalers understand this.

Personally I believe that anyone can be a wholesaler provided they have the money to start the business.
It is not easy financially because you will need a huge budget so as to be able to buy products in huge quantity to supply to multiple retailing stores and offices.

Manufacturers are most of the time work with the supplier, they sell through suppliers. If the business buys through the suppliers, they end up paying more. Buying directly from the manufacturer is the best idea. But sometimes it is impossible to break the supply chain.

I agree with you. This business will require to have good knowledge of how retailers work. And the best way of knowing is if you have ever done the retail business. You will be familiar with your customers and know exactly what they want.
