Effective exercises for relieving eye strain include the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, focus on an object 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. Palming involves rubbing hands together and placing warm palms gently over closed eyes. Eye rolling, where you slowly roll your eyes clockwise and then counterclockwise, can help relax eye muscles. Blinking frequently keeps the eyes moist. The pencil push-up exercise involves focusing on a nearby object, then a pencil held at arm's length, gradually shifting focus between the two. These exercises can alleviate eye strain from prolonged screen use and promote overall eye comfort.

Resting the eyes is the best way take off stress on the eyes. It's not good to have too much screen time everyday but unfortunately most people's work have them hooked on screen for hours. Some even stay hooked on screen 10 hours or more every day which is very bad for the eyes. Whenever you can, shut your eyes and sleep. It saves your eyes a lot stress.

I prefer eye stretching.

Start with your hand at the center of your body, straight up and down with fingers up. Move your hand towards your side and follow it with your eyes until you can’t see it anymore. Repeat with your other hand and side. Do not move your head from facing forward.

Sit up straight and hold your head fixed in place. Hold your hand horizontally in front of your nose, and move up until you can’t see it anymore, following it with your eyes. Then hold your hand in front of your nose again and move it down until you can’t see it anymore, following it with your eyes. You should feel a stretch in your eye muscles. Do not move your head.

Another pro tip: ensure that your gaming screen of choice is level with your eyes. If you have to look down to see your screen, that’s a strain on the muscles in your forehead that tilt your head forward. That can cause “eye-strain headaches” that are actually head-tilt headaches. Something to keep in mind.

This is very correct. I have been in this situation before with how my Sega Genesis console was set up years ago with my gaming monitor screen. They weren't level at all. I was looking up too much instead of face level in a horizontal line. Even with using gaming glasses, it didn't stop the strain my eyes were put through.
