For me it will be pay per install programs. They will give you one customized exe file which is an installer(for toolbars and such things). All you have to do is distributing it to all your friends. They will give you some money for each install you will get. I thought of doing it in the past. Its quite easy if you make it a silent install and add it to the usb's autorun.inf. Give the USB to as much as people you can. Or better yet create a script using autoit or something like that which does the following:

1. add the script itself to the services of windows.
2. the script should check for any usb devices present in the system( if there is, copy the script along with the installer you have with the preconfigured autorun.inf to the present usb drive)
3. make money sitting in home as the script+installer spreads to all the systems! :p
4. Worry a little bit as its illegal in many places! :p

I've been exploring the PayPerInstall scene but for torrents. Your idea is definitely a good one.... :) You would make around 25 cents per install. The file would therefore be better off virally spreading via email or something. I suppose a USB is less traceable though.
