So most website software's will come with generic Terms of Service and Privacy Policies. However, when creating your website depending on the niche, you will need to customize the TOS/Privacy policies. It may also be wise to create a personalized frequently asked questions page that is specalised to your website or forum community.

Or, do you just rely on the default one's that come with the script?

I use the default. Well, policies aren't a big deal. Basically, I just want to keep out porn, commercial spam, annoying stuff, and rude stuff. I have sort of addressed that problem in the "Announcements" section.
