Webhosting company offers less disk space after payment

A web hosting company had offered 4GB disk space in its listing at webhostingtalk, after paying for the web hosting, the account is showing only half the disk space. Is this a normal practice for web hosting companies?

If you don't get what you were being offered initially, that is truly a scam. You should talk to the hosting company. If they don't provide the feature that were offerred to you, you should ask for refunds.
