What's the difference btw a 2D & 3D websites. I have a company in Kenya mainly for helping the needy in our community. And someone adviced me that if we develop a website, we should consider a 2D coz it's prefers where it comes to donations and heavy correspondences. Kindly can I get a third opinion. Thanks

Can you clarify what you mean with 2D and 3D websites? Do you mean 3D as in e.g. WebGL?

I assume you are referring to the graphics. And these days the Flash is being closed and people have moved to the HTML 5 and onwards. So you may have to find the graphics in 2D and 3D in the HTML5 or similar libraries. You should check out those tutorials if you wish to learn about graphics in that category.

Yeah I would honestly get some more information exactly what they mean by 2D 3D websites.

In past the Flash based websites which had the 2D and the 3D. And the thing is that now a days the Flash is not much working. So Instead of the flash, you can learn about HTML 5 and the SVG animations. Though you should learn other animation libraries in the javascript.

Hence I advice you to get in touch with someone who knows how to run programming and ask them which is better for you, 2D or 3D

The 2D graphics is the ordinary picture that we see while a 3D graphics has slight movement because it is in 3-dimensions. From what I know about 3D graphics it is like a small video. When you are using 2D in your website then the display is spontaneous when the internet access is normal in speed. If you change that web page to a 3D web page then the display will be remarkably slower. It is the display that is the crux. A slow display can turn off the visitors to the site.

I have never heard of 2D, 3D websites. I know graphics can be 2D and 3D but I don't think entire website can be 2D or 3D. But I might be wrong because I am not yet into web designing and development.

It also sounds stench to me, I don't have idea on whats the difference, but in short all you have to do in other to avoid getting confused, it will be advisable for you to research about it.
