Using free forum scripts

I am thinking of starting a free forum, since it is very difficult to make money from wordpress blogs. I would like to find out which is the best free forum script, especially with spam control features since I cannot afford to invest more money.

There are many free forum scripts available, such as phpBB, SMF, and MyBB. These all have spam control features built-in, but you may also want to consider using a third-party spam prevention service like Akismet.

I have forums with SMF, phpBB, MyBB as well as Wordpress. For wordpress forum, I am using wpforo. Maybe you could create a forum on your wordpress website directory instead of running a separate forum. It is really difficult to run a forum.

That is a good idea but I think it is better when you just create a normal website so that you can earn money.
