Unlimited Bandwidth?

Advertisement Placeholder
Most providers do really have a bandwidth limit, because there's a fundamental limit to what the datacenter can provide and what the tenants of the datacenter have actually paid for.

Most of the folks who say 'unlimited' really mean 'unmetered' as in, 'we're not counting how much you use because the reality is you'll never use enough other resources to ever be a problem', but there's a reason why when you start looking at VPSes etc. they all have actual numbers because those are guaranteed amounts and that you can realistically hit those numbers without tripping others (since serving files doesn't have to require masses of CPU)

actually.. I've used a few "in the day" that had unlimited.. the actual limitation was the bandwidth speed you were provided. You weren't given 1GB of bandwidth and unlimited data... usually 250-500Mbps.
