Twitter rebranding its bird logo

Elon Musk can't seem to stop messing with Twitter since he took over ownership of the social media. Now, he's rebranding its bird logo to "X" and it's going to be updated later today.

What's the essence of trying to fix what's not broken? The Twitter's bird logo is the last thing Elon Musk and his team should be worrying about now.

I don't really fancy the idea of Elon Musk changing the Twitter logo from bird to X. I just Googled it just now after realizing from this thread that musk was considering or must have changed Twitter logo but I'm checking it I don't feel fully okay with the new logo if the bird logo was tweaked I would prefer that rather than changing the whole thing.

It's not just the logo, he's completly changing the site/name to just "X". if you go to x.com, it goes to twitter.com. But I assume the twitter domain will eventually revert to x.com and twitter.com will turn into a redirect.

But so far he hasn't even rolled out the whole site. The logo says X, but there is still mentions of twitter and tweets all over the platform. And the main domain is still twitter.com. All he did was change the logo to X haha.

Elon Musk have have gone too far from what I can see. It's even looking like he's afraid of what Mark Zuckerberg will bring in terms of competition for Twitter because there's no justification for waking up one day and decided to change everything from Twitter.com to x.com including the bird logo.

That name is honestly very bad and has no charisma, they should have a little more imagination if what they want is to rename the platform to give it a face lift, but as you thought, that name evokes other types of things when you think of websites that start with x letter, on the other hand changing the twitter logo or renaming it doesn't make any sense either, the truth is that what Elon is doing with the platform is a disaster.

Seriously, it wasn't a good decision at all. Of all the name be wanted to change to, he choose an alphabet with a bad reputation.

Well actually, i took a back to think about it and let's be realistic there is nobody that is not fully aware that Twitter logo is a Beautiful Killer brand but the thing here is this that brand logo even if Elon should decide to retain the Old logo it will always be remembered to the previous owner and obviously he wanted something that when people see it will reflect him.

I'm very sure that Elon Musk definitely did it to stir things up just like you said because since then, there's been much talk that's been going on about the whole development in both Twitter and so many other social media platforms. All these are gets traffic for him.

My conclusion on what's been happening with Twitter since Elon Musk bought it is that Twitter is being moulded in Elon's image and likeness. Users can wail all they want and he will still do whatever he desires. Did it make users deactivate their Twitter account? No, they only left for Threads and still came back to daddy.

Yeah, that's very correct. I have not seen anyone posting on Facebook or Instagram or even the new Threads they are deactivating they Twitter account. It's just a matter of time until everyone and everything will normalise. It's going to be like nothing even happened.

I wouldn't expect anything more than this to occur. Twitter have helped so many people in unimaginable way which no other social media platform have done. I won't be too easy for a new social media meant to be a rival to knock off Twitter from its perch too quick.

I've been seeing him making a lot of Tweets about his SpaceX project. He's obsessed with owning a part of Mars, I hope it doesn't become a catastrophic adventure like the OceanGate adventure of few millionaires turned out with their death.

I wouldn't expect anything more than this to occur. Twitter have helped so many people in unimaginable way which no other social media platform have done. I won't be too easy for a new social media meant to be a rival to knock off Twitter from its perch too quick.

Even right Elon Musk have made it that Twitter users earn money from ads posted on their Tweets and that's a big step to making people take using Twitter seriously. Everyone wants to make money from using social media platforms without having to break too much sweat for it like what Google Adsense does to website owners.
