Traditional Shared Hosting or Website Builder?

Hey all! I'd be interested in hearing your experiences with various hosting environments for projects in the past. With something like forums, majority of users go for self-hosted/Shared Hosting due to the scripts needed.

However, over in the general website world there's loads of pricey website builders like Wix and Squarespace - So, for a normal website would you go via the Shared Hosting and WordPress route, or a website builder?

I always go for the shared hosting route as it just provides a lot of freedom and control over what your site will look like, feel, and run. Sites like Wix and Squarespace that help you build your site are good for beginners but not good enough for most online projects. You will end up with a site that looks and feels like thousands of other sites which is never a good look. In the end, shared hosting is going to be a lot cheaper as well which is always a great plus.

Shared hosting is also good in creating your website from, but I prefer website builder like WordPress.com to look up to and create my site from. Because I'm presented unique features to design my website with, with custom plugins and widgets that should make your site more and more scintillating.

Personally I'll prefer website builders, especially Wix is one of the best free website builders out there. Its hundreds of HTML templates are extremely user-friendly and reliant on the software’s drag-and-drop interface, which makes building a website a similar experience to crafting a PowerPoint presentation. While Wix offers more flexibility in terms of customization over other website builders, the unbridled freedom also makes it easier to create lackluster designs if you don’t know what you’re doing.

I will always go for traditional hosting package because of wordpress. Some website builders are not user friendly. But with WordPress, building of a functioning website is within minutes even under a dead slow internet connection. Just point and click in few minutes, a website will be live easily with the uses of softaculous in traditional horsing.

I would prefer to buy my own hosting and build site on wordpress. Buying a hosting will entitle me to number of services which I get for free, add on domains and emails for example. Website builders are costly. Gor a price of running one website with websiye builders, you can launch over a dozen websites with traditional hosting.

I will go with WordPress.It is the largest known and safest sites that has to do with websites.You get to have alot of different plugins that you can use to make your site look unique.It is cheap to start with and you can also make money making and selling plugins and templates.

I will go for the traditional share hosting that I am more knowledgeable about than the other ones because my good knowledge of it has enable me grasp the idea of being internet compliant.

When you use website builders, your website is under the control of another person or organization, however, when you are using hosting services, you are in charge. Likewise, for the price you pay for website builders for one website, you can host more than one websites if you choose shared hosting

Websote builders are expensive. I will choose a shared hosting. I have checked hosting cost on some web hosting companies, it is about $30 per year. However, if you choose website builder, you will have to pay around $50

Website builder is good tool for static webpage but comes with limitation. I always prefer to use in-built wordpress option which gives you more attractive looks to your website and comes with features which make your work easy.

If you do not want to deal with technical side of website building, you can try website builders. Website created with website builders are visually stunning and it is easy to create these websites through drag and drop tool.

I will definitely use a website builder hosting service than going for a traditional means of posting my website because it will save me my money in paying hosting service fees.

Web hosting hosts both websites and website builders but by its definition is incapable of building a website. A website builder does not host a website so that consumers can access on the internet. Rather, it hosts the tools and pieces needed to create that website, allowing the user to build.

Before I bought shared hosting, I was running a website on weebly. I did not like the features offered by weebly, it was also expensive compared to the shared hosting

If it's just a normal website I will go with a website builder to give me a conventional, easy to use website.

But for sites to be used for blogging or online shops, I'd rather go for a more professional web designer to get the best deal.

I would prefer a website building service that also comes along with free website hosting services because I would never want to build my website and then I'll be looking for a traditional web hosting services other than the company that build my website because I believe that it is due builder of the website that can better manage the website.

Because of the price I will go with a shared hosting. The money spent on shared hosting can be 50 percent less than the website builder. Interestingly, you get a free domain from website builder

Interestingly, some web hosts also offer free website builders. Namecheap, my web host, also offers website builderss but I have never looked into that options.
