I always thought it was cool. I remember one time someone had trafficgangster.club. That was so funny. The whole theme was that whole gangster thing (dark theme etc.) and sometimes the admin would talk like tough guys in their replies.

The .club domain extension - What do you think of it?

I have a .club for one of my sites. I like it. I made sure to buy the *club.com too though.

.club can be good as a secondary domain, IMO. If it's possible, get the .com first. If .com is not available, get .net. instead. Then get any extras that you want.
Even if you want .club as your primary domain, I'd still get the .com/net and redirect it to the .club at the very least.
