Some niche forums have difficulty getting posters, much more so than general chat ones. Well, for instance, if you have a gaming forum, you could get some posts about gaming, but pretty soon the well dries up. People simply haven't had enough experience with games to post a lot of stuff.

Well, how to deal with this situation?

Yes, having special niches make it harder to run a forum. I run a technology forum, I constantly post new blogs and threads relating to the latest developments, this fuels discussion among my members and users and they become more engaged with the site. I also post links for the product, this, in turn, generates additional revenue for the website.

I think that in the initial stages that it is going to be very difficult however this is why they are able to offer posting packages in order to entice people to come and post in the forum and as there are more people posting the level of engagement increases and this is what causes people to stick around as well.

The problem is that the niche needs to be something that can draw traffic. If it's a niche topic that isn't very popular, you probably won't get many members joining you. You need to find a niche that isn't tapped into and could explode if you made a forum/site for it.

General forums if anything, are a dime a dozen. Every forum these days are general discussion forums that don't add anything different to the table. But with niche sites, if you can find a niche that is good, you could potentially have something good on your hands.

One of the biggest problems that have in a specific category of things in which you post on your website is that it is going to be completely useless if that particular topic is going to be irrelevant.

That is one of the advantage of choosing unpopular niche to blog on. Getting content ideas with unpopular niche is difficult. In choosing niche, you must choose the niche that you have knowledge on or the niche that you have passion for.

This is very similar to the experience that I had on a gaming forum that I joined recently. I am always short of words and sometimes I do not know what to post , it got me to keep doing lot of researches online.

I find general chat forums to be harder because you have more to compete with. If you find a niche, you can find a fanbase or following and bring them together. Allowing them to connect and establish friendships which is amazing for a forum.

Posters are harder to come by in some niche forums than in typical chat forums. For example, if you run a gaming forum, you might get a few gaming posts, but the well will dry up quickly. People don't have enough gaming experience to post a lot.

One of the major issues with posting a particular type of content on your website is that it will be entirely useless if the subject matter is unimportant.

the challenges of owning a niche forum is very enormous as you are face with so many things to deal with on a daily basis, like for instance you are just limited to a particular topic.

A niche forum targets a specific group of people, unlike the SOCIAL NETWORKING SERVICES, where communities are scattered across lots of different platforms and there's no easy way to engage your audience.

A lot of niche forums find it difficult to get posters or get traffic on the website. The forum which do not have this challenges are forum that discuss about everything.

This is so true. I remember one gaming forum I was invited to then that was ready to pay as high as $0.5 per post. It seems there's a dearth of people who're knowledgeable on such topics.

Yeah that's a big problem in my opinion I don't know even how to deal with this situation many niche forums struggle to find posters and new members

It is not a completely good idea for you to just have a 1 niche forum. If you do not want to make it general then you should at least make it possible for people to talk about at least three things.

I don't like multi-niche forums. When the forum has no focused niche, it is difficult to build a good community. How can you expect a houswife and a gamer to use the same platform? I like single niche forums. My forums are niche forums.
