Based on our experience, we can confidently say that more often than not, the community's ideas tend to work out. In fact, their success rate is usually higher than when we, as admins, come up with ideas.
The rationale behind this is straightforward:
When we propose an idea, we are essentially taking an informed guess at what our community members desire. On the other hand, when our community members themselves come up with an idea, they are essentially communicating exactly what they need and want.
Thus, it would be unwise to disregard their ideas since doing so would be at our own risk.
