The Allman Brothers Band was an American rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida, United States, in 1969 by brothers Duane Allman and Gregg Allman, as well as Dickey Betts, Berry Oakley, Butch Trucks, and Jai Johanny "Jaimoe" Johanson.

The Allman Brothers Band had some good songs, and they included "Ramblin' Man" and "Midnight Rider" - although "Melissa" was my favorite song from this group. They are known as a southern rock group, but some other music genres they are included in, are blues rock, country rock and jazz-rock as well.
