If you run a community, or a Discord server and have weekly events, do you ever have movie nights? If so, I should note that there is some legality when it comes to airing movies publicly. For example, copyright is a big thing, as most movies aired publicly need permission, and that's not easy to do, especially if it's a relatively new feature film.
At a discord community I worked for, we would have movie nights every so often. But we never full on played newer movies because we never wanted to risk copyright issues. So instead we aired public domain movies, which are movies in the public domain and no longer have copyright associated with them. Which means you can modify the movie, alter it, as well, you can air it to a group of people without any legal troubles.
If you do have a movie night with your community, make it a private affair if there area lot of people around. Don't promote it anywhere either.
Have you ever had movie nights with your communities? Do you play it safe and not play newer movies?
