When you invest in stocks, you are directly investing and taking all the risks into your own hand, however, when you invest in ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) or Mutual funds you are investing in an investment pool and trusting experts to make investments on your behalf. Investment pools like ETFs and Mutual Funds are less risky compared to Stock investment, but earning potential on stocks are higher than earning through investment pools.
