Start a book club

Would you ever start a book club? I think it'd be fun to start one with friends and maybe family, but I don't know if I have many friends or family who still read books. I also don't read often, but have been meaning to get back into reading soon. And I figure a book club would be a fun way to start. Who here has been a part of a book club? Want to start one?

When I was in my early 20s, I joined a couple of friends to start a book club, it was going well until one of the guys in the book club started opposing every proposal I made for the club. I got so frustrated that I left the book club. Interestingly, after I left the club, the club died.
