Just curious what yours views are on forum staff? Do you prefer to have a forum with a lot of staff so it's easier to be moderated, or do you prefer not having so many people all having control and only adding new staff when really necessary?

Personally I don't like seeing forums with several moderators and admins when it's only new. I guess it's about finding the right balance.

Your thoughts? How many staff members do you have on your forum?

because of my time on the computer being very limited, I have one admin and one moderator.

I'd say that's very reasonable. However I've seen forums with 1 moderator to every 2 or 3 active regular members which is just ridiculous.

Right number of staff members is one important thing indeed. When starting a forum, unless its promotional forum, there are no reasons for having more than 3 staffs unless you're lazy enough to be around on the forum.

This right here.

Find a good balance of staff members, 2 or 3, and roll with it until you get bigger then hire more.
