How much activity do you expect out of your staff? How much do you think is fair?

I think that depends on how much other work they are doing. If there is a lot of "behind-the-scenes" work that they're doing on the forum or they are doing a lot of advertising for the forum, then I'll let them slack off a bit on being active on the community. If they aren't busy doing other things, then I do expect them to be active. I won't expect them to make 100 posts a day on the forum but I do like to see them make a presence within the community.

At Website Forums, we expect at least 100 posts per month. However, we understand people are human and need time off. Ultimately, we just want them to be part of the community and be pretty active.

I feel that they should be replying to many posts and starting a few of their own as well. I think that when staff is active, It is just better.

I expect them to post at least 5-10 posts a day, it might be harsh but it shows there posting consistently and putting effort in. I also make sure, they have a certain word count for the posts because their staff and representing the forum and coming up with 1 word posts isn't really professional at all and quite frankly it looks horrible.
