Posting your links, products and services on social media is one of the most common social media marketing methods. However, as a marketer, your work does not end there, you also need to continue to build followers and also track your social media analytics. You need to see how your posts are performing. No matter what you are posting, you need to monitor how your posts are doing. If you are sharing links, you need to see how many people clicked on your links. If you are sharing videos, you need to see how many people were you able to reach. If you are sharing ad, you need to check your conversion.

Of course, if you're paying, probably you will get way more performance from your work. Anyway, you can easily track the results of you've paid to do, and one thing to note is the fact the posts, videos etc. you make could vary in quality, so in that case, you got to tweak everything to get the best performance for your money and/or time.

Whether you are doing paid marketing or free marketing (promoting on you pages), you need to make sure your posts get a lot of engagements, including clicks on links you have shared.

This is a very good point. If you're not getting ample engagement in what you're doing with your contents, it shows that you're not doing things right. Those links need to have more clicks which brings the much needed activities and traffic to your page.
