Site I've left for months has 10,000 visits a month?

It's GoogolDIR.com- a premium web directory that seems to have got 10,000 visits in the last month. It's never had over 2000 and I've left it for months. I only have paid and reciprocal options- not free listings. Do you think this is someone trying a DDOS attack or something? :)
