Does anyone here utilize an archive when they put away old content on their sites? I usually add content that's about 2 years old, to my archive folder. I always have a section on my site for archived posts, and it's easily accessible for everyone. :)

Though I don't have a website but it is always good to make use of one's archive. At times, this helps us to know and appreciate our past efforts and we can easily correct or prevent mistakes

I think we should but it's also depend on the content, some of them worth to be archived and some forgettable

I think that an archive is a very good idea because you will never know when you will actually need that information in teh future and therefore it will provide you with a good opportunity to refer back if ever the case is needed.

Of course I make use of the archive feature on my website when I am using the website because I feel that there are some old contents that are posted on the website in which I can get some information to add to my current contents.

It improves compliance, saves time and increases security. Document archiving is securely storing information (both digital and paper format) that you no longer use regularly. It's important because it: ... ensures only the right people can access the right documents

I have a general discussion forum that has a private archives section for old content and spam. I think it can be quite useful to see what old content we used to have on the forum, especially in case someone is curious about some old content. We made it private since it would look unprofessional to allow everyone to view the old content and spam within that section.

Archives are very important to keep for future refrence, though i don't have a site yet ,i have come t know the importance of keeping works in an archives for purpose of research and other important works that might come up in the future.

I use wordpress and there is no need to have a separate folder for old contents. You can just use archive widget on your side bar or on the footer to help the visitor check old posts.

Archived posts are good and it also good if these achieved posts are readily accessible by visitors to the site as well, never can tell who it might help along the way

Archiving is good on the long run because of the memories it preserves and it makes information to be easy to find too when needed, so if one could utilize archiving then go ahead

It is good to have achieved posts in a folder specifically for it. There are certain references you might want to get to that you can only find in your achieve folders you know.

Same here i dont have a website, but like you said it is indeed good to have records on old works that have been done in the past. You can also use these records as preference later in the future. Or these things can be modified to create new contents

I don’t have a website now and I’ve not been creating any content so I don’t really understand what you mean but i think it is good to have section on your site for achieving posts

It depends what you mean by archive. Backups to preserve data is always a good idea, but if you mean archiving old content to look back over it later on for the purposes of nostalgia then I don't see much need in that.

Always take site backups though in case of data loss.

Not every content is a write and dumb content, some might be old but eventually might be useful in the future, therefore its not every content you delete without retrieving.

The essence of archiving post or content on your site is to reduce the capacity of the file but also accessible at any given period of time.so archive is important.

Wow this is amazing. That way contents would be found easily. One thing is to archive another thing is to make sure they are well arranged

I just began a content creation class and I've learnt about what content repurposing is; it's a means of restyling your old content to suit present needs.
To save you the stress of having to create content over and over again, archiving is good. There are some of your content that even contain raw gold and are always suitable for your audience from time to time.

Even though I don't have any website I am running at the moment, I recommend an archive section in a website. This section can even serve as reference when one needs to refer back to the previous contents where necessary. Personally, I go through some sites archive section to see their previous posts.
