I just saw that namecheap doesn't offer anymore free SSL's, do you think they should offer free SSL's ? I can remember that they used to give them for free, now you gotta pay for all of it :S

If they offer free SSLs, it'll be like an attraction to customers and then they'll have more traffic. Though it'll be more expensive on their part though and that's why I don't fault these companies that stopped to offer these things.

There is no way hosting companies will offer free SSL to their customers because it cost them some money to get the certificate. if they are to offer assistant free to the customers it is going to affect their overall profit at the end of the year.

I think it will be good for a domain name register to offer SSL's but things are expensive all over the world now, I think is not going to be easy to see a domain name register that offers it for free.

I am namechep customer, and namechep offers SSL on 50 domains for free, these free SSL needs to be renewed with premium price in the next year. However, there are a lot of domain registrars that offer free SSL.
