SEO practices which need to be stopped

Which all SEO strategies you think need to be stopped in todays world.

• automated link building
• article directory submissions
• link directory submissions
• contents with less than 300 words.

I think these strategies need to be stopped as early as possible as it could bring more harm to your websites than good! What do you think?

I agree with everything except the "300 words" one. An idea or post can be done in 300 words or less, so as long as it is good...then it shouldn't matter. But if a blog is made up of nothing but 300 words posts then there is definitely a problem.
