How do you feel about selling categories?

You allow companies to sponsor entire categories. You can put their company name in the title and description and even create a sticky topic for them.

So, as an example, let's say I sponsor this category (Forum Revenue) to a company that does affiliate marketing called "ACME Affiliates."

I changed the board name to "Forum Revenue - Sponsored by ACME Affiliates." I then put a sticky post on the forum that explains a little about the company, its link, and a special discount code that applies to forum members only.

In return, they pay you for this service.

It isn't too intrusive to your members, and you can earn revenue from it.

Is this something you would use on your forum?
