Over here, there's no way you would able to avoid paying sales tax with the way businesses are monitored. You can't hide from it and it's why most businesses have it built in automatically in their sales system to deal with the tax payment.

Personally I think sales tax online depends on the country of your location. there are some countries which have less concern about the income their citizens earned online and same to issue of tax collected from them while some countries makes it mandatory through some method that such tax will be deducted from your income.

For instance, if you want to sell through local ecommerce marketplace, your business need to be registered. Your business need to be registered in in-land revenue department for taxation purpose.

The government of my country will tax anything that is possible for them to tax because they are always very greedy especially when it comes to making money and they are the last people that are going to make any effort in using the money generated from taxation to do anything that is going to benefit the citizens. It's like we pay the taxes for their own enjoyment.

The government tries to tax every thing because they want to generate tax revenues as much as possible. However, sometimes, they offer subsidies to certain people who may not be earning that much. Regardless of that, sales taxes are imposed on almost all the people.
