Repairing Vs. Buying New

When your device breaks, do you go to repair or buy a new one? Most people I see go for repairing old or broken electronic devices because it saves money. However, I prefer to buy a new one. While repairing may save money initially, the longevity of the repaired devices is not guaranteed. You need to assess costs and potential risks before opting for repairs to ensure you make a better decision.

Most of the time I repair them unless the problem is irremediable, repairing will always be cheaper than buying a new device according to my opinion and the experience of having my devices repaired.

If you have to change parts, the parts you change are not as good as the original ones, so your device might break again.

I have a protection plan with Best Buy for my laptops. When thye have issues or 'break', I bring them in and they send them out to be 'repaired' but a lot of the time they can't repair the issue so they simply cover the cost of the laptop and i end up with a new one.

Sadly, we do not have any kind of insurance plans for Windows laptop or computer. However, Apple devices get covered.
