Remove breadcrumb from index

Open your index.php file and find following code:

eval("\$index = \"".$templates->get("index")."\";");

And add following code to above:

$header = str_replace("<navigation>", "", $header);

This will remove navigation only from index.php.

What is a breadcrumb in an index if i may ask? This is the first time that i have heard of this term. Is it a way to try and narrow down so that you don't see the whole directory?

Thank you for this. Actually, i hate the breadcrumb thing on my site. I feel it is taking up too much space and making the forum look congested. Plus, when i check the heatmaps of my site, i have never seen the breadcrumbs being clicked.

Thanks for the tutorial, however, I think breadcrumbs are good on a website. Breadcumbs even make your site search engine friendly. Therefore, I do not see why someone has to remove the breadcrumb.
