Are promotion forums difficult to keep going? Or are they as hard as any other niche, in terms of the topics you can discuss?

My opinion is, unless you have something unique, something to offer to the members that other promotional forums doesn't, you don't stand a chance. There are literally 1000+ promotion forums as of now (most of them are almost dead, while some are already down).

The irony is that almost 90% of the forums promoted on promotion forums, are promotion forums itself, Lol.
In terms of topic too, I find topics repeat in most of the forums.

The chances of them succeeding are very low but as long as they are offering unique sections and a slightly different userbase then I think they could do well. Especially with the right staff aswell as a hardworking Admin.

I agree mostly. You need to stand out from the crowd to make it in this overpopulated niche.

They aren't that hard to get off the ground, you really can get one going in a day. They are very dynamic, and if you don't keep it monitored closely it'll take a steep drop in activity.

They are indeed difficult to keep going. However, if you just keep a high number of staff, you can really keep the forum running fairly smoothly.
Topics to discuss are abundant, no worries there

I found it super easy to start one but difficult to keep up the posting. Members of promotion forums only ever seem to want to reply....

Every promotion forum I have ever made has never made it far, lack of members joining, lack of active posts, and as you said no one wants to make topics, they simply wish to comment on them.
